Chapter 7,

Jason,

Jason was quite embarrassed by yesterday's events, so much so that he had hidden himself away from everyone else in his cabin until lunch. He still couldn't get over the fact that Percy had beaten him so badly and left him stuck on the floor, unable to even move, let alone fight back. Jason actually thought that would be his and Pipers last moments before Percy had completely wiped them from the Earth. And that's still not forgetting about Leo, he would have been long gone if Piper hadn't stepped up.

Piper. She seriously needs to learn what is too much. She obviously got the message that Jason didn't want to speak to her by not returning to his cabin at night, she went to sleep with the Fifth Cohort instead. Her little trick could have destroyed the city as well as the three of them.

Although Jason now had even more respect for Annabeth. When Percy was raging then Jason has thought it was all over and that nothing could stop him, not even Piper's Charm speak. But that's when Annabeth stepped in and called for Percy to come down, she slapped some sense into him and for that Jason was very grateful. Although Jason hadn't had any time to thank her because she immediately ran after Percy, and Jason thought he would give Percy some time to cool down. He didn't need to be shown who was superior again.

Although Jason didn't really blame Percy too much for his outbreak, he had been away from Annabeth for eight months, and when they reunite then he already thinks he's lost her. Well at least they were together again.

Jason thought about going up to lunch, but then remembered why he was sulking. Months ago then Jason had been the best warrior anyone had ever seen; he had also been a praetor. Both of those titles had been taken away from him by Percy, who didn't really seem to care what he was or what others thought about him.  But the Event yesterday proved that Percy could take on someone who could fly and shoot lightning bolts, someone who could control fire, and someone who could charm speak all at the same time and still destroy them all badly enough to injure them and dishearten them. All the while, Percy was totally untouched apart from a lightning bolt thrown at him, although he recovered from this instantly because of a puddle of water.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door, which broke Jason's thought bubble. He then called, "Come in."

Jason was slightly surprised to see that it was Annabeth who had come in. She walked slowly and carefully towards Jason, dodging all the items that had been thrown on the floor by Jason in his anger. She settled on the edge of the bed, which seemed to be the part with nothing else on it. She seemed to hesitate at first but then said, "Hey Jason, are you okay?"

"Yeah, Yeah I'm fine Annabeth," replied Jason without inflection.

"Um,  well everyone is starting to wonder if your okay, so why don't you come own and eat lunch with us?" Annabeth asked

Jason had already been planning on going down to lunch, because his stomach had been rumbling for over an hour now, but he still wasn't sure if Percy had calmed down enough to be able to see him again, because Jason didn't really feel like having his butt whooped again in front of everyone.

Annabeth must have seen his hesitation and answered it by saying, "You don't need to worry about Percy, he has calmed down and says he is sorry. Piper and Leo are down there too, they have been waiting for you all day."

Jason still hadn't completely forgiven Piper for her little stunt, because she put herself, Leo and Jason in serious danger, and also got them all injured. But if Percy is already putting up with them both, then Jason should move on too. "Okay," he said, "I'm coming."

"Thanks Jason, everyone will be really happy to see you again," said Annabeth looking slightly relieved.

Jason wasn't so sure about that but thought it was better than spending the rest of his days confined inside his room. He also felt silly for sulking about such a thing, obviously the others may have thought he was injured, but the real reason he was hiding was because of embarrassment..

He got up off the bed which felt very warm because he was on it for so long, and then followed Annabeth out the door. It was quite cold outside and at first the daylight blinded him. It seemed as if he had not been outside for at least a day, probably because he hadn't.

They walked together in silence, heading towards the Lunch tables when Annabeth suddenly stopped before they got too close to the others who were now in sight. She turned to face Jason and said, "Try to give Percy a break, he's been through a lot and really doesn't need any other reason to get angry. He is okay right now and he is really sorry for what he did but please don't be too hard on him."

Jason was slightly surprised at the moment, but quickly got over it and nodded. Annabeth's expression didn't relax but they continued to walk towards the others. Jason could hear everyone talking and laughing with each other, but all that stopped as soon as he and Annabeth came into view.

Piper was the first to get up and she came running towards Jason and wrapped her arms around him. Jason could hear her sniffing, and trying to hold back tears and then she whispered to him, "Oh Jason, I'm so sorry. This was all my fault and I'm sorry you got hurt, please forgive me." Then the waterworks started, tears flowed down her face and onto his t-shirt.

Jason wrapped his arms around her and whispered back "It's okay Piper, I'm fine." He then started to croon her with other comforting words, and rocking her from side to side. They broke apart after a few minutes and Jason wiped the remaining tears of Piper's face with his finger, "It's okay," he said, "It's all fine." She nodded and walked back to her place on a table with the other Greeks.

Annabeth walked away from Jason and went to sit in an empty seat by Percy who was glaring at Jason. His hard face slowly softened and he wore a resentful look, as if he were truly sorry. Jason nodded towards him and then walked to sit next to Piper. The conversations slowly started picking up again and soon everyone was at peace again.

Jason was starving, he hadn't eaten in a whole day and his stomach was growling loudly. It caught the attention of some others on the same table and they started giggling. By the time lunch was over, Jason had eaten five slices of pizza, and drunk three full cups of Coke. Reyna got up and said a few words about the good work of interacting by the Greeks and Romans. Jason didn't really pay much attention, but when Percy stood up after that then Jason's ears pricked up.

"I would like to say thank you everyone for making friends with each other and greeting the other camps well," said Percy, "I must also announce that the seven chosen people from the great prophecy will be leaving tomorrow for their journey to Rome and then to Greece. The situation has not gotten any better, Olympus is still closed, monsters keep appearing here, and I have also received word that back at our Greek camp half-blood then Monsters have been attacking there too. Therefore I believe that it is vital that we leave as soon as possible, so the seven must get packed tonight and we will leave at the crack of dawn. As for the other Greeks, I have spoken to Chiron and he said that he'll need you back at camp within a week because the monster attacks are becoming more serious. I have organised a journey back if you are willing to leave with us tomorrow then we can drop you off on the way. Otherwise Reyna must decide if she will allow you to stay any longer."

Everyone all turned to look at Reyna who was clearly trying to think about it. After about a minute of waiting then she announced, "You are welcome to stay as long as you want." Just then there was an uproar of cheers.

Percy quickly regained control by raising his hand to silence the crowd. "Thank you for your hospitality. May I have a word with the seven who are coming tomorrow?"

Jason, Piper, Leo, Hazel, Frank and Annabeth all got up and followed Percy who led them where the others couldn't hear. Behind the Romans and Greeks were getting up to talk to each other, probably discussing if they should stay or not.

Percy stopped when there was no one else around them, and then turned to face the small group and said, "Alright guys are you ready to leave yet? We don't have much time. Chiron said the situation was pretty bad right now so we'd better make a move."

Jason replied, "Well I think we've had enough of a break and the Romans and Greeks seem to be getting along well so it would be a good time to make a move."

The others nodded simultaneously and it was settled. The all started to walk their own ways back to their cabins. Jason was walking alone when someone caught his shoulder. Jason turned around to see who it was and found Percy staring back at him.

"Hey Jason, I didn't mean to startle you," said Percy cautiously. "Look I'm really sorry about what happened the other day, I just lost control and I could have hurt you guys real bad. I didn't even mean to hurt you, I was just to angry. But I truly am sorry, is there any way you can forgive me?"

Jason was taken aback with Percy's question and started to feel slightly sorry for him. It wasn't really his fault, Piper had pushed him too far. Jason wouldn't like it if someone played a trick like that on him. He shuddered at the thought. "Its okay Percy, I know what you were going through," replied Jason sympathetically.

Percy looked very relieved after that and said, "Thanks a lot man. You'd better get some rest, we've got a big day ahead of us." With that he walked off to find Annabeth.

Jason was now standing alone in the middle of the dark. The surroundings were deserted and everything seemed to go very quite. Eventually Jason managed to pull himself back to his own cabin ready to pack up.

He when he opened the unlocked door, he noticed that the light was already on inside and almost jumped out of his shoes and started screaming when he was Piper lying on his bed. It took him a minute to calm down; he was clutching his chest and breathing heavily. Once calm then he asked her, "What are you doing Piper?"

"Well seeing as this will be our last relaxing day, I thought we'd better make use of it together," she replied, "Of course if you don't want to?"

"No, I do," Jason blurted out, "It's just you took me by surprise. Don't scare me like that next time."

Piper's smile widened into a grin and she got up to greet Jason, who still looked quite wary as if something was going to go wrong any second.

"Jason, we may not be together again, something may happen on our journey which could cause us to part ways. So before that happens I wanted to tell you how I really feel about you," said Piper quietly, even though no one else was in the room. "I love you Jason, from the moment I met you I have loved you."

"Oh Piper, I love you too." Jason replied and didn't have a chance to say anything else, because at that moment Piper leaned in and started kissing him. Jason was already prepared and started kissing her back immediately. After a few minutes of embracing, they broke apart to catch their breath.

"Piper, no matter what happens on the journey to Rome or even Greece, I want you to remember that I will always love you back," said Jason and they started kissing each other passionately again.

What did you guys think. I know that I keep on doing the same thing with Piper and Jason, but what else was there to do? I mean they are going to go off on a near impossible mission yet again and what if they don't see each other again? Anyway the next chapter will probably be my last because I am going to get very busy and won't have enough time to update this again, plus the real book will be coming out soon as well so I would have stopped anyway. As always I value your comments significantly, so please do comment, it means so much to me that you can't even imagine it. And if the next one is the last I will try making it longer and a bit more twists. It will probably be from Percy's Point of view and will probably have a cliff hanger that will annoy everyone but that's just how things are.
Jason sulks about the previous day, He goes to Lunch, They leave tommorow, He and Piper have their moment

I do not own PJ or HOO and this is not the official story, it comes out on the 4th of October so people, please stop asking me if it is the real one. This is most likely the penultimate chapter.
